On
the outskirts of town lies a complex
that likes to pretend it isn't in
any town. It has a small, electronically
powered waterfall and a stream in
the middle, which only works half
the time. Sheep roam freely around
the complex and a bunch of bards
(also referred to as singing homeless
people). It has two floorplans available:
"Romeo's Ballad" and "Leviathan."
All of the units here are separate
buildings, so it feels more like
your own little (very little) house.
|
|
| |
Romeo's
Ballad is a studio apartment.
The model is decorated to make it
look huge, but once you get your
own things in it you'll realize how
very small it is. Also, there's a
bit of a bug problem here, especially
termites. They love this wooden apartment.
But hey, it has a fireplace and the
rent is cheap.
Leviathan
is the large model at the
complex. It has a lot of the same
qualities as the "Romeo's Ballad"
unit such as a fireplace, bugs (specifically
termites), and cheap rent, but it
also has two bedrooms, which makes
it easier to overlook those problems.

This
is by far the largest complex.
It is massive and has such a wide
spread of housing quality, size,
and cost. The complex is like a miniature
model of Midgar and is like a bullseye
with the rich in the center and the
poor on the outside. The center of
the bullseye are the "Executive"
units in a large tower. Surrounding
that are the "Cetra's Garden"
units. The outer rim is a collection
of mostly "Sector 7" units,
with the occasional "Turtle's
Paradise" units. The "T.G.A.S."
is simply a term given for the freeloaders
that live in the old, discarded pipes
that used to provide ventilation
and plumbing to the Executive Tower.
|
|
| |
T.G.A.S.
is not a verified unit on
the complex. Security doesn't care
about the people living in these
old pipes, but they definitely keep
their eye on these "residents"
and make sure they stay far, far
away from the Executive Tower.
Any plumbing and electrical in these
pipes is somehow rigged by the residents
themselves (extension cords and a
shovel, anybody?)
Turtle's
Paradise is a unit that
sits on top of a gun shop. The unit
itself is made of metal, so be very
careful of any exposed electrical
currents. It is a one bedroom that
requires you walk through the gun
shop to reach your apartment.
Sector
7 is the smallest duplex
you've ever seen. It has two bedrooms,
but there are so many walls in this
tiny space that it's actually more
an inconvenience than a benefit.
Stay away if you're claustrophobic,
but if not, then the price isn't
too bad.
Cetra's
Garden is the nicest unit
you can find at ShinRa House outside
of the Executive Tower. It is the
borderline between poverty and beauty
as there is a beautiful garden surrounding
the executive tower. This garden
extends halfway through the ring
of Cetra's Garden units, which means
from the front of your house, you
have a lovely view of a garden and
the Executive Tower. From the back
of your house, you have a nasty view
of stinky people living in crappy
houses and pipes.
Executive,
often called Executive Tower, is
the best you can get. The units themselves
aren't too mind-blowingly awesome.
There's a TV in the wall and a nice
bed, plus a lot of room, but not
much else. The rest of the tower,
however, is your benefit. Huge workout
rooms, relaxation rooms, a cafeteria,
movie theater, and so much more!
And the best part is that you can't
get in without an Executive keycard.
Sure, sometimes somebody with a keycard
will let in his poverty-stricken
friends, but still, this tower is
better than the rest of the city.
Only downside? You have to
live alone here. The more people
there are, the less exclusive it
is, after all. . . .

Yes,
this is actually a castle. It's constructed
similarly to Ipsen's Castle, only
that bottom half is actually underground.
Residents enter through the main
gate, then there is a staircase down
to the other rooms,
called the "Dungeon" rooms,
while the "King" rooms
are on the main floor. There is a
large, beautiful courtyard that all
residents can enjoy. It is, of course,
on the main level. All of the units
are large, three bedroom models that
are directly on top of each other,
meaning the "Dungeon" units
are directly beneath the "King"
units and get to hear all of their
footsteps and vacuum cleaners.
|
|
| |
Dungeon
began as a term for the
maintenance area beneath the units.
They were not designed to be units,
but the site manager wanted more
money, so they were converted. They
try to be good units, but
with a large generator and septic
tank in the middle of your living
room, it's hard to care about much
else (except maybe the rat problem).
King
is a great unit for a group
of successful people. Each unit is
almost like a fraternity of sorority
house for rich kids. Beautiful view,
comfortable rooms, and it's even
prefurnished. It's living in a castle,
only updated to be more comfortable.
Just ignore those suffering in the
basement below.

The
floating apartment complex of Bhujerba
Sky Gardens orbits the city to avoid
any storms and bad scenery it can.
There's a shuttle station that will
provide transit to the complex and
even shuttle you to whichever side
you're on. There's an abandoned mine
by the "Wrecks" model.
Meanwhile, on the more luxurious
side of the complex is the "Marquis"
model that is always facing the way
with the best view.
|
|
| |
Wrecks
is a small one bedroom apartment
that is very bland. Maybe you can
spice it up a bit, but the plain
walls, standard square design, and
one small window, it might bore you
to death if you don't do something
special. Think colors when decorating
this. Your view is constantly terrible,
and there's a weird smell coming
from the mine, so you might keep
your one window closed a lot. . .
.
Marquis
is a very elegant model.
It's spacious, stylish, and has a
large balcony that the complex owners
try to always face toward something
beautiful. You'll experience both
the sunrise and sunset every
day, and if possible, you'll be moved
to avoid poor weather contitions.
It's a large model and has two bedrooms.
